Samsung has unveiled its new handset, the Galaxy S3 in Europe ahead of other markets.
The new smartphone is bigger than the 4.3 inch screen of Nokia's Lumia 900 and the 3.5 inch display of Apple's iPhone 4S. It has a 4.8 inch screen. The S3 features an 8 megapixel camera on the rear. The mix of face recognition technology and “intelligent camera features” offer owners a more natural experience. Besides the camera on the rear, the phone has a 1.9 megapixel front camera for video calls.
The handset is perceived to be critical to how people view the Android system it runs and the firm’s brand. With the popularity of the previous Galaxy- the S2, the company overtook Nokia to become the best-selling mobile phone maker in the world. According to Adam Leach, principal analyst at Ovum, the importance of the S3 could not be underestimated. However, the phone needs to stand out among many smartphones like Apple’s iPhone.
Running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the Samsung Galaxy S3 features an 8 megapixel camera on the rear and a 1.9 megapixel front camera.
Cameras feature share shot, HDR, burst mode, and buddy photo share.

The phone will be available in two colors, marble white and pebble blue.
Samsung has revealed in London, on the 3rd of May, that the Samsung Galaxy S3 will head to North America on June 22. The smartphone will launch on May 29 in Europe, and in 10 other cities worldwide including Dubai and Tokyo.
